Happy Mother’s Day!!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of you! To the moms, single moms, single dads trying to be both mom and dad, to the want-to-be-moms struggling with infertility… You are all beautiful, precious, treasured. Your sacrifices are great, and God holds your tears in his hand. You are doing an amazing job!

Today at 3:00 CST, I will be live with Kathy Chiero in The Sitting Room at www.610wtvn.com. We will be talking Mother’s Day, the struggles of bearing the entire burden.

Pray that I might decrease so that He might increase. Pray that He would speak through me, that it would be His words and not mine. Pray that He might be glorified and that His word would not return void.

Happy Mother’s Day!

I just stumbled onto your post today for the first time. I too am a Single Christian woman. I’ve been raising 2 boys for the last 7 years essentially alone. I also homeschooled the entire time. My oldest is in his 2nd year of college and my youngest graduates this year. He will be attending college in the fall-Lord willing! I have been very blessed along my journey, and did my wrestling with God years ago. I can honestly say that God takes perfect and wonderful care of me (us) once I surrender to His will. I have been a stay at home mom since my first child was born, and God has provided for us in the most unusual ways. My story is an amazing journey with God. There have been a few struggles along the way, and looking back I wouldn’t trade them for the world. It is then that our faith grows. God has been very faithful to me. I look forward to reading more from you. 🙂 Happy Mother’s Day!

You are so right! I remember several moments of surrender: surrender to this journey, surrender of my hopes and dreams, surrender of my finances. At every moment of surrender, that’s when God began to show up in amazing ways! This journey has been hard, but such an incredible blessing! Now, I would LOVE to hear how you managed to be a stay-at-home single mom! I am blessed with a great job with tremendous flexibility, but I often feel like I don’t have enough left for my kids. Happy Mother’s Day and welcome to this journey!
