Life Coaching Now Available

, , , ,

It’s time to make it official! It is time to announce the launch of my life coaching business!

I have been slowly and methodically plugging away at my masters degree in life coaching. I still have a few classes left, but I have finished enough courses to now be a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and have my life coaching certification.

It is such an honor to have the opportunity to share my life with you, to share some of the journey God has taken me on over the years. I have had the pleasure of interacting with many of you through my blog, emails, and even through phone interaction. Now, I want to be able to offer you even more in the way of personal, individualized attention.

In case you aren’t familiar with life coaching, let me give you a quick run-down of exactly what I can do. Let me start by saying I am NOT a licensed counselor. Counselors focus more on your past and helping you understand why you do certain things, how your past impacts your present. Counselors go through a rigorous licensing process that is regulated by a board. Life coaches, however, are more interested in your present and helping you move forward, helping you determine goals and a path to get from where you are today to where you want to be. There is no licensing requirement (although, like I said, there is a certification process). We are not allowed to accept insurance as a form of payment.

As you might imagine, I envision my life coaching practice to specialize in divorce recovery. Helping others walking this path has become my passion, and my life coaching practice is no different. Although I have identified divorce as my specialty, I am not limiting my sessions to only divorce recovery. My life experiences and training allow me to look at many other areas of life including spiritual growth, parenting, finances, forgiveness, and many other areas. If you are uncertain if I feel comfortable with a certain issue, please feel free to reach out to me so we can discuss it.

One of the things I recognize is that many of us are walking the difficult path of single parenting. Even with a good job, I know what it is to struggle financially just to put food on the table and keep a roof over your heads. Paying for something like life coaching may seem out of reach.

I don’t want anyone to feel that way.

Because I have a 501 (c )3 non-profit ministry, I want to find special donors who will be willing to assist with the cost of life coaching sessions (all donations are tax-deductible). Please don’t be deterred by the cost. I will do my best to keep the cost within reasonable limits and/or match you up with a donor who will help if you cannot afford the sessions.

Initially, I am going to start with a cost of $75 for a one-hour session. You can pay for individual sessions, or we can do a bundle of sessions. For $250, you can get four sessions with additional email/text support over the course of the month. Or, if you would rather have more flexibility, you can select a bundle of ten sessions over the course of six months with additional email/text support for $600.

I will do my best to work with your schedule as best I can. Most of my sessions will be early/mid-afternoon (central time) and on weekends as I juggle the multiple responsibilities in my life. I also understand that you have limited time in your busy schedules, so we will have to work together to accommodate these crazy lives we live.

If you are interested in some life coaching sessions, please reach out to me at [email protected]. Please make sure you put LIFE COACHING in the subject line of your email so I can easily identify those of you wishing to take advantage of this offer. If you are friends with me on Facebook, you can also send me a message on either my personal page or my ministry page.

If you would like to make provide a tax-deductible donation to assist someone with life coaching sessions, please either use my PayPal, the donate button on my website, or reach out to me by email at [email protected]. Please put SCHOLARSHIP in the subject line.

I am so blessed to have all of you in my lives. I can’t wait to get to know some of you even better! God bless!

I’m not interested in the sessions, but I was just wondering how you got your life coaching business started? Life coaching is something that I am interested in since I enjoy helping others and I wasn’t sure on where to start or if I should create a separate blog for it.
