Saying Goodbye to the Faith
I know there are many Christians questioning how someone could renounce their faith, but I must say that I understand. Although I never gave up on God, I was close.

None of us likes the pain and trials of this world. We don’t rejoice when life gets hard, when we are struck with illness or the loss of a loved one. We don’t look forward to these painful circumstances that are part of the human experience.
I don’t know those answers, but today I find myself crying out for God to help my unbelief…
As I have contemplated how to trust God in the unexpected, I’ve found four words that are helping me.
Give us a vision of the beauty you want to bring out of our broken lives.
But when I truly reached that place where Jesus was all I had, I found He was more than enough.
We need you to open our eyes, to illuminate the path you have for us.
So I pray. And I trust. And I lean. And I cry. And I pray some more.
And I remember my God is faithful…always and forever.
It seems like a lifetime, and yet I remember it as if it was yesterday. So much happened in that moment of surrender, a moment that changed the entire trajectory of my life.
I am starting 2019 by seeking first His kingdom in prayer and fasting. Will you join me?
